THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS: Internazionale or Paris Saint-Germain

This year's UEFA Champions League Finals showcases two powerful football teams; PSG from France and Inter Milan from Italy. It's not just a match, it's an unveiling of ultimate prowess. 

This year's game will be played on the 31st of May 2025 in the Allianz Arena in Germany. 

Luis Enrique's team has so far emerged as Ligue 1 champions and winners of the Coupe de France. Winning the Champions League would equate into a treble for them. Would PSG edge Inter Milan in the Finals?

With Mbappé gone, many expected PSG to crumble but instead, they've turned into something dangerous. They no longer revolve around one player. 

But we can't also forget Inter's consistency from start to finish. They have won three trophies previously and plan to win more. They also succeeded in dominating Barcelona in a tough Semi Finals game shocking spectators. 

Everyone has a prediction. Takes are flown left and right. We asked football fans who'll win the clash between the two football clubs this weekend. Some lean red for PSG and others lean Black for Inter.

Some are of the opinion that:

 "PSG and Inter are strong. If PSG wins, they'd have treble. So I feel they'd put in much effort because of that. But Inter beat Barca which shows the team's dedication and strength. But I want PSG to win so Yamal won't get a Balloon d'or and Barca fans can rest"

 "Personally, I feel Inter is going to win. I say this because they've been one of the best teams this year. They have one of the best strikers at the moment and one of the strongest defence in the Champions League. They've also conceded less goals than any other team."

 "Inter Milan. They are a formidable team. They really have good flow of football from defence to attack. All their players are exceptional, from Dumfries to Calhanoghu to Dimarco to Barela and their strike partnership, Lautaro and Thuram. The team is coached by a legend; Simone Inzaghi. They're an all rounder and after their loss two years ago against Man City in the finals, they would be looking to win this. PSG is good with their stable football and fast forwards but they are no match for Inter Milan."

 "I think both teams are poised for the silverware on Saturday. However, I want Inter Milan to win. They did a lot to get here and in 2023 they fell short. Although, in 2020 PSG fell short too. Both teams play well, but I want to give it to Inter."

"The UEFA champions league is a prestigious competition in club football and I'm really excited for Saturday's final. I believe the winner of Saturday's final will be Inter Milan. Inter were the runner-up for the 2023 Champions league final and they lost by a very tiny margin. In football, experience is very crucial and I believe Inter has that final experience already which will help them alongside their world class players. Of course PSG is a top force to reckon with in Europe but I personally believe they aren't ready for Inter who defeated Barca in a very competitive game."

"Honestly, I am of the opinion that PSG deserves to win the Champions League. Why? I feel they have good players, a very experienced coach who I think won treble with Barcelona. Inter Milan on the other hand, is very good when it comes to defending and counter attacks. I'm not supporting any of them but I expect PSG to win the league."

"I really think it’s going to be a tightly contested game between PSG and Inter Milan. Both teams have been impressive throughout the tournament, and it’s like an "attack versus defence" type of showdown. Although, I’m not great at predictions, but PSG has really looked solid against EPL teams in the UCL, beating Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal pretty convincingly, on their way to the final."

"On the flip side, Inter has shown some serious dominance, knocking out big teams like Atletico Madrid, Bayern, and recently, Barca in the semis. They defeated a high flying Barcelona team that were fan favourites to win the UCL in a chaotic game."

Although, PSG definitely has the edge in terms of quality and attack, but Inter can really cause problems with their defensive setup and counter-attacks. Their physical play, especially on set pieces, could also be a real threat to PSG, who struggle to defend set pieces.

Plus, Inter was chasing a treble not long ago. Losing the league title must have been rough for them, but they still have the Champions League to fight for. I want to believe they have the mentality to bounce back and can’t afford to let all their hopes slip away. They’ve shown they can adapt and grind out wins, which is what matters most. And don’t forget their experience from the defeat in the 2023 final against City, they’ll want to learn from that.

It’s a tough call honestly, but I’m leaning towards Inter winning this one. Maybe it’s coming from a place of hate since PSG knocked out my team, Arsenal, but I really think they have what it takes to lift the trophy this time around.

I can’t wait to see how it all plays out, cos it’s going to be an entertaining game, for sure."

While you might agree or disagree with any one of these opinions. One thing we're sure of is that it's going to be a really tight game. If any is to win, the way we see it, it would be with the slimmest of margins.
