Principle and application.
It is a principle of equity and justice that ensures no party should suffer due to an error or oversight by the court. It is the responsibility and duty of the Court to make sure that the interests of none of the parties to the litigation are harmed. If a wrong has been done by any error of the Court, then the Court is under a legal obligation to undo it.
